Anxiety Might Be Telling You Something
Our culture encourages us to move at a fast pace, and pushes us to accomplish, to “become somebody.” We all know this, but it’s hard not to get caught in the flow of what is supposed to be normal, so we put a lot of pressure on our bodies, living our days in a constant game of catch up and to-do lists! Our nervous systems are overloaded making us suffer from continuous surges of anxiety. We want the “sensation” of fear to go away so that we can feel better, but we don’t even know where to begin.
Well, maybe anxiety is not the problem but how we live our daily lives. Maybe ANXIETY is actually telling us something if we stop long enough to listen. Maybe, just maybe our systems are doing the exact job that it was designed to do when there is a threat…and the threat is this fast-paced story we have been influenced into believing. Just maybe…
When I work with clients, I always urge them to take healing into their own hands. Through all the modalities I work with…Breathwork; Reiki; Massage Therapy; Coaching…I can use all my skills to promote calming in your body/mind/emotions but after you leave my studio, the rest is up to you.
So daily…stop and check in with yourself and ask these three questions…
How do I feel in my body right now?
Is this the pace that feels best for me today?
Is there something I can cross off my list to allow me more space to slow down?
Checking in is so important and puts the power of choice in your own hands. This is your life. Own it like the bad ass that you are and live it how you want to live it!
